The Art of Deceit: A Review of the Presentation, “Were the Pyramids Built Before the Flood?”
The internet presentation, "Were the Pyramids Built Before the Flood?,” is a veiled attempt to discredit and dismiss the Old Testament Hebrew text, the King James Bible, standard Bible chronology, and creation science, which helps to expose the faulty theory of evolution. The strange Bible chronology the presentation puts forth is based on errors in three scarcely used and obscure critical editions: the faulty Greek Septuagint, the Samaritan Pentateuch, and the Dead Sea Scrolls. These editions contradict the entire body of often used and copied Hebrew manuscripts, whose readings are now seen in the King James Bible and all other living language Bibles. The lonely presenter is sparing with the mighty millennia of history and a million-strong army of broadly accepted Hebrew, English, and worldwide Bible texts. He would have us exchange this heavenly host for a few crumbling corrupt manuscripts, now re-packaged in his intellectually void cartoons. Such is the case of many internet warriors, stationed in their mother’s basements. Their only allies are internet-addicted, deer-like Christians, frozen in front of the ‘heady, highminded’ high beam headlights of their computers.
Sadly today, drawing imaginary elements and connecting lines on paper to fictionalize the history of the Biblical text has replaced word-for-word laborious manuscript collation. Just as was evidenced during Old Testament times, “images” have replaced faith in God’s promise to preserve his word “to every generation” and “to all nations.”
